Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS) is a non-profit organization that is staffed completely by volunteers and provides care and adoption services for many homeless cats and kittens at its no-kill shelter in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. View our visiting hours.
Please see our How To Help page for information relating to adopting or sponsoring a kitty, making a donation to LAPS, being a volunteer at LAPS, LAPS Membership, our aluminum can program, and our current Wish List for items needed for the every day care of our shelter's cats and kittens.
During any given year, over 6 million animals (more than the entire human population of Missouri) enter shelters and become homeless. Over 50% of them are euthanized due to overcrowding or health issues related to abuse and neglect. The sad animals you see in the TV commercials, which are so difficult to watch, are real. Those animals, and many more like them, really do exist. Read more.
