Help

Hunter, a LAPS resident

Lycoming Animal Protection Society is a non-profit organization completely operated by volunteers, so your help and support is always appreciated. Whether through financial support or through the donation of materials used in the direct care of our residents, we cannot do it without you.

Ways to help

Adopt

Be a lifechanger for one of our cats! Our residents are well-cared-for, but a shelter environment can never match a loving forever home. We'd love to see all of our cats get that chance. Stop by and get to know them… you might just find one that steals your heart! Learn more about the adoption process and meet some of our residents.

Fundraisers

We host a few events per year, and have various other ways of raising money, such as the local Raise the Region event. View our current fundraisers.

Sponsor a kitty

If you can't adopt due to allergies or already have a pet and don't feel that you can bring another into your home but you would still like to help, LAPS has a sponsorship program that may interest you. Learn more about sponsoring a kitty.

Donate

As a no-kill organization, LAPS provides each of our cats with housing, food, companionship, and medical care for an indefinite period of time. This can all be costly but it is the commitment of the organization. Please consider a donation to support LAPS.

Wish List

We always have a need for certain items that are used in the daily care of our resident cats. Donations of these items are a huge help! View our Wish List.

Volunteer

Help needed! Good volunteers are always in short supply and our regulars could really use some assistance. The kitties are always grateful for love from new friends. If you are interested in volunteering, download our Volunteer Application. If you have any questions about volunteering, please email us at LapsShelter@windstream.net.
